There has been a major Quebec Superior Court ruling against the Montreal police service (SPVM) and the City of Montreal. The court declared that there’s a systemic form of racial profiling within the SPVM, and it is awarding $5,000 in punitive damages to anyone who was stopped on the streets based on their ethnic origin.

Quebec labour tribunal orders McGill to stop obstructing union of law professors
Quebec’s labour tribunal has ordered McGill University to stop obstructing and interfering with a union representing full-time law professors. The tribunal found the university appears to have violated the Quebec Labour Code when its administration sent two emails to law professors criticizing the union, according to an Aug. 30 decision. The university sent the emails
