7. A pack of alcohol markers that yield smooth, paint-like coloring results. Sure, these markers are on the expensive side for markers, but you haven’t known true coloring joy until you’ve used these babies. Trust, you’re never gonna want to go back to Crayola again.
THESE! MARKERS!!! OK, so I kept seeing similar alcohol markers all over TikTok and was really on the fence about buying them because it felt silly to pay so much for markers when I could easily pay a few bucks for a cheap pack of Crayola markers. But I am easily persuaded and heard from a friend that these ones in particular were very good and let me tell you…these aren’t your typical markers, people!!! These are seriously the smoothest markers I’ve ever had the joy of coloring with. I should warn you that they do bleed…easily. I may or may not have ruined a T-shirt I was wearing the first time I colored with these because I bent forward too far toward the coloring book. And definitely be sure you have some sort of backing separating your coloring page and the next coloring page in a book (thankfully this set comes with a backing you can use, you just have to move it around a bit to the different areas where you’re coloring. Seriously though, buy these. Sure, they’re pricy for markers but if you like to de-stress with coloring, you’ll definitely get good use out of them.

I adore this coloring book! This was the first coloring book I bought to use when I bought myself a pack of alcohol markers, and it’s truly perfect. For starters, I can’t emphasize how much I recommend getting a bold and easy coloring book to use with alcohol markers. Because alcohol markers have a tendency to smudge easily (and bleed!!) having big pictures with thick lines makes it easy to keep all your coloring contained and clean and not seeping out into other parts of the picture. This book, in particular, is filled with so many fun images (and some ~throwbacks~ like a flip phone and cassette tape). And you can truly get creative with your color choices and bring these pictures to life in the way you want. Alcohol markers or not, I def recommend treating yourself to this fun book!
