C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans are 2-0 after taking down Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears on Sunday 19-13.

Stroud had another strong game in the win, throwing for 260 passing yards and a touchdown on 23-of-36 passing. He connected well with wide receiver Nico Collins, who had 135 receiving yards and a touchdown, marking back-to-back games reaching the century mark to start the season.

Stroud has continued to impress in his second year after a phenomenal rookie year, and the quarterback once again drew rave reviews from NFL fans.

CJ a dawggg man. Dot after dot. Blessing to watch

Derrik Klassen @QBKlass

Stroud is entering the rare category of QB where I just assume the ball will be completed before the camera even pans to the WR

Pat McAfee @PatMcAfeeShow

I mean.. this Stroud dude is unbelievable

Pat McAfee @PatMcAfeeShow

Stroud’s cheating… I don’t know how but.. something somewhere somehow.

Dude is too damn good at the football.

You will have dialogues with your family and friends about CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud is a generational talent

Jackson Frank @jackfrank_jjf

I’m not sure anyone makes throwing the football look easier than CJ Stroud. It’s remarkable. The ball just glides.

While one young quarterback continued to show promise as Stroud dazzled fans, the opposing young quarterback struggled. In his second game, Williams had 174 passing yards and two interceptions on 23-of-37 passing, certainly a game to forget in his second NFL contest.

It wasn’t entirely Williams’ fault, as his offensive line allowed him to take seven sacks, 11 total hits and plenty of pressure which led to the interceptions.

While there was concern regarding Williams’ play, there was overall concern about the state of the Bears’ offensive line.

It’s wild watching Caleb learn what he can and can’t get away with in the NFL live in real time.

that exact escape probably led to a third of his college touchdowns. picked off on Sunday Night Football.

Wendell Ferreira @wendellfp

Caleb has to learn how to play in rhythm.

Drew Hill @DrewHill_DM

Everything about the Bears offense is disastrous. The play calling, the line (especially) and the quarterback that hasn’t figured it out yet.

A complete mess.

Courtney Cronin @CourtneyRCronin

Caleb Williams is 1-of-5 for 8 yards and 2 interceptions while under duress. He was 0-of-5 under pressure last week. @ESPNStatsInfo

Bears gotta invest in the offensive line. Feels like some free agent spending is coming on the interior

Chase Daniel @ChaseDaniel

Bears have the QB, Skill Players, & Defense to be a playoff team.

But I don’t think they have the offensive line for it.

Jori Parys @JoriParys

Houston, the Bears offensive line is a problem.

Aaron Wilson @AaronWilson_NFL

#Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams sacked seven times by #Texans hit 11 times @KPRC2

Tyler Dragon @TheTylerDragon

Caleb Williams is going to need an ice bath after this game. The Bears have to learn to protect Williams better. Sacked seven times and hit 11 more tonight.

Lance Zierlein @LanceZierlein

Man, Caleb Williams is really one tough dude. He got hit as hard as any QB I’ve seen in quite awhile and kept standing in.

Gregg Rosenthal @greggrosenthal

Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson combined for 17 pressures per @NextGenStats. The Texans had 36 (!) overall

Just two games into his NFL career, Williams still has some developing to do, but an offensive line that allows him to get hit seemingly every play won’t make things any easier.

If the Bears want Williams to develop into the franchise quarterback they expect him to be, getting an offensive line that can protect him and give him time to get the ball out will be instrumental.
