Police in Gatineau have confirmed the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle late Saturday.

Police said the crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Saint-Louis Street in Gatineau’s Touraine district.

The victim was taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police provided few new details Sunday morning as accident specialists continue to investigate.
