This month is a huge one for fans of video games, movies, and geek culture in general. We’ve got new sets based on The Legend of Zelda and The Nightmare Before Christmas, plus new Dungeons & Dragons minifigs, and more. I love it when a new batch of minifigures comes out. The latest set is based on a relatively recent LEGO license property: D&D. We covered the impressive LEGO Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale set and had a blast putting it together. This new set of 12 minifigures features characters like Tiefling Sorcerer, Elf Bard, and Halfling Druid, and they come in either individual or a 6-pack of mystery boxes. The Nightmare Before Christmas has been chilling hearts and warming them for over 30 years now, so it’s about dang time it got a LEGO set. And it’s a great-looking one, too. We’ll have a “We Build” feature on it soon, but LEGO Insiders can buy it now exclusively at the LEGO Store. It’ll be available for everyone on September 6, but there’s no reason to wait (and potentially find it out of stock), because signing up for a LEGO Insiders account is free.
