Cross, Miguel, Sirino, Dortley and Ntwari will be available to make their debuts for South Africa’s most-supported club, while Sam has injury question marks.

Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi will also be joining the queue of debutants for the club.

Last season, the side had Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Edson Castillo and Ranga Chivaviro all starting as they made their debuts in the first game of the season for the Soweto giants, while Tebogo Potsane and Mduduzi Mdantsane both came from the bench.

That was six debutants in the season opener.

Two years ago, Chiefs gave Zitha Kwinika, Yusuf Maart, Ashley Du Preez and Siyethemba Sithebe starts as they made their debuts with Dillan Solomons in the first match of the 2022/23 season, which they lost to Royal AM.
