Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect in connection with an assault that seriously injured a youth on an OC Transpo bus on Aug. 23.
In a release on Thursday, police said the suspect approached a group of youths on a bus at about 3 p.m. and assaulted one of the youths “without provocation.”
The man left the bus at Place d’Orléans and boarded another bus.

“The victim sustained serious injuries,” the release said.
The suspect was described as Caucasian, in his mid- to late 30s, with green eyes and a heavy set build.
He was wearing a grey Adidas shirt, dark cargo pants, black boots and a black Senators ball cap.
He also has a distinct mole on his right cheek.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or the incident was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service east criminal investigation section at 613-236-1222, ext. 3566.
