Dave Grohl admitted to cheating on his wife and fathering a child out of wedlock.
In a brutal but honest Instagram post, the Foo Fighters frontman, 55, revealed he welcomed a baby girl outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum on Tuesday, September 10.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl shared in a statement. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

He ended his post by writing, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Grohl and Blum said “I do” over 20 years ago in an Aug. 2003 wedding ceremony held at their Los Angeles home. The pair share three children (all girls): Violet, born in 2006; Harper, born in 2009; and Ophelia, born in 2014.

Jordyn Blum started as a model and met Dave Grohl while working at MTV:
Before her days as a rockstar’s wife, Blum was a model and graced the cover of Teen and other campaigns. She was reportedly discovered in a supermarket at the young age of 12.
After modeling, Blum became a producer at MTV, where she eventually met her famous future hubby, per Spin.

Dave Grohl ghosted Jordyn Blum after they met in 2001:
The Foo Fighter revealed he met Blum at West Hollywood’s iconic Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001; however, it was initially a bumpy road.
“When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” Grohl revealed in a 2017 interview with ELLE.
Months later, he changed his mind.
“After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again,’” he shared.

Jordyn Blum has collaborated on several Foo Fighters projects:
The former MTV employee used her music knowledge to collaborate with the Foo Fighters on several occasions, even appearing in the band’s music video “White Limo.”
In the video, Blum can be seen with late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister. She also used her expertise to co-direct the Foo Fighters’ 2002 “Walking a Line” music video.

Jordyn Blum suffered a medical emergency while Dave Grohl was on TV:
Blum had to be rushed to the hospital after her appendix burst while Grohl was filling in as host for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” He later revealed his wife’s health emergency while talking to Kimmel in an August 2018 appearance.
“It’s true,” Grohl told the late-night host. “I got a text from her, ‘I don’t really feel so good.’ Then I walk offstage after it was done and she’s like, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital to get my appendix out.’”
Despite his work commitment, Grohl didn’t miss her surgery.
“I ran down there, and got there in time. She’s great,” he explained.

Jordyn Blum was with Dave Grohl at Wimbledon months before the baby bombshell:
Blum appeared alongside her husband at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in July 2024, just two months before he dropped the baby bombshell. The pair sat in Royal Box seats alongside several A-listers, including retired soccer star David Beckham.
They gave no indication that there was trouble in paradise during the event.
