The feud between Ice Spice and Cleotrapa set the internet ablaze after the latter unleashed her six-part TikTok exposé on the former. Based around her alleged mistreatment during Ice’s Y2K Tour earlier this summer, the series of videos delves into how the “Von Dutch” artist was expected to pay for her own accommodations after being assured by Ice that she would be taken care of, left out of team meals, and neglected during the entire trek in numerous ways.

Cleo’s videos began making their rounds on social media, and the “Princess Diana” rapper entered the chat to defend herself. She claimed Cleotrapa was “crashing out” because she didn’t get what she wanted out of the entire situation, and this is a “pattern” she is noticing as she gains more experience in the music industry.

Ice Spice and Cleotrapa have been friends for about two years by the time Ice asked Cleo to come on tour with her. Cleo says Ice hit her up “last minute” to join her headlining Y2K Tour, to which Cleo expressed apprehension because there was “only one day” to figure out the logistics. However, she agreed to join the tour, which ran from July 4 to Aug. 31 and also featured Cash Cobain and Riot. Cleotrapa performed as the opening act for the entirety of the tour.

  • Cleotrapa Posts Detailed TikToks About Her Tour Experience (Sept. 2)

On Sept. 2, Cleotrapa took to TikTok to reveal her truth about her experience on the tour. She claims Ice’s decision was “calculated” from the beginning because it was a way for her to conduct damage control over her image.

A main point from Cleo’s side was how she wound up being expected to pay for her own accommodations after Ice told her she would be taken care of. When asking about the financial aspect of the trip, Cleo claimed Ice responded, “Nothing, you’re gonna be with me. You’re good!”

The first specific story Cleo recounted was how she was unable to get help from Ice’s security guard when she was struggling to carry her luggage to and from the venues. She then went on to describe a situation when Ice and her team all went to a steakhouse dinner and did not notify her, although there were limited food options available around the area they were in at the time. Additionally, she alleged she was never given her own dressing room and was told she had to get ready in bathrooms.

In regards to accommodations, Cleo said, “Why’d we have to get to the hotel room and you ask me, ‘You not gonna get your own room?’ I could’ve had the room booked before we got here boo. On top of that, they’re staying at five star hotel rooms every night.”

All in all, the “I Don’t Trap” artist claims Ice’s team “gave her crumbs,” “dimmed her light,” and “didn’t make sure I was good” throughout the entire experience.

  • Ice Spice Hops On X Spaces, Responds By Calling Cleo “Entitled” (Sept. 3)

After Cleotrapa‘s TikTok’s started making their rounds on social media, Ice Spice came to defend herself. The Like…? creator went on X Spaces to say her piece, where she claimed Cleo was just “crashing out” because she couldn’t “use” Ice’s audience anymore, called her “entitled,” described the time she and Cleo went out to a restaurant together during the tour, said this situation won’t stop her “from being a good person,” and much more.

“Crashing out is sad you guys. The scary part of fame honestly is the moment that somebody feels they can no longer use your platform or they’re not getting exactly what they want out of a situation the way that they want it; that’s when they decide to crash out every single time. I’m noticing a pattern bro. The sh*t is sad like I was genuinely trying to help her,” the 24-year-old said.

She also explained that the decision to ask Cleo to join was so last minute because a second tour bus was added, so they had “extra room” and “extra bunks.” Ice spoke about how the two rappers had fun at an amusement park and movie theater together, so the criticism was unexpected. She also said Cleo allegedly “ate so much f**king food” at an Italian restaurant and called her “a vacuum.”

“You got less than 10,000 listeners and I’m sharing my stage with you and you feeling so entitled,” she added. “You think that my people working for me are supposed to work for you? That’s so crazy to me.” Check out the Spaces session below.

  • Ice Spice’s Manager Responds To Allegations, Defends His Team’s Decisions (Sept. 3)

As more and more users across social media began sharing their thoughts about the rift, Ice Spice‘s manager, James Rosemond Jr., stepped in to defend the decisions his camp made. Overall, the industry professional agreed with Ice that Cleo was acting “entitled.”

Rosemond explained on X that he and his team gave Cleotrapa “an opportunity” and the onus is on her management team to decide if agreeing the tour would be a rational decision. “You have to invest in yourself, aka pay expenses if need be for the opportunity. It’s corny. Someone gives you an opportunity and this is the thanks the person gets. Openers dont have same things headliners has,” he wrote in a series of now-deleted X posts.

He continued, “The entitlement and ego are crazy… An artist (and their team) needs to know what to do when these opportunities come their way. They need to know how to leverage it to advance their career. But some artists just don’t know how to come out with HITS so they crash out and go on rants.”

The manager also revealed that he has been in contact with Cleo’s manager, who he claims “knows his client is 100% wrong.” Elsewhere in his tweets, Rosemond insinuated Cleo was going “viral for clout” when a “private phone call to speak on differences” could’ve been had instead.

  • Stylist From Y2K Tour Backs Up Cleotrapa’s Claims (Sept. 4)

One of the stylists who was booked for the Y2K Tour entered the conversation and shared his perspective. He made it clear where he stands, as he stated in his TikTok, “When I say everything that Cleo is saying is true, it’s deada** true.”

The stylist, who goes by the name ZDot, alleged Ice told him at one point that, “Cleo Black a** doin’ too much… She thinks my workers are supposed to be working for her.”

He also weighed in on the steakhouse situation in Texas and alleged Ice Spice purposely did not ask Cleo if she wanted to come eat with the rest of the crew and even ignored her texts while everyone was eating. ZDot brought food back for Cleotrapa, which caught her by surprise because she wasn’t invited. “She’s so inconsiderate. I don’t even know why she brought me here. F**k this,” Cleo allegedly told him.

ZDot then recalled Ice being on FaceTime with Riot and saying, “B**ches gotta go. They asking for too much. I’m really tired of her Black a**.” He called Ice Spice colorist and said she “knew what she was doing.”

  • Azealia Banks, Joe Budden, And ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Weigh In On Feud

Azealia Banks came to Cleo’s defense on Sept. 4 by saying she doesn’t like how “everyone is trying to make Cleotrapa look.” She also said Ice is “aging like milk” and called Rosemond a “bird a** n**ga” for “adding insult to injury.” The “212” artist topped things off by announcing she is inviting Cleo to perform with her on Halloween at Terminal 5, and she will “be paid, have her own space to glam, whatever she wants on her rider.. because i have f**king respect & class.”

Ice spices manager is a bird ass nigga 4 trying to add insult to injury when a young girl is expressing how she feels. He’s trying to make cleo look like an amateur when the fact that he’s even chiming in at all is ghetto, low class and a huge sign of having zero skin in the game

Joe Budden provided his opinion based on his experience as an artist who has toured multiple times during his music career. He reasoned that Ice Spice wasn’t calling the shots on her tour, so the way things transpired weren’t directly her fault. “She don’t have no say over nothing. She has not sold enough records to be in this position. On tour, every single dollar is accounted for,” he said during the most recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

Power 105’s The Breakfast Club also covered the debacle on Wednesday. “When a person from the Bronx starts off a story with ‘what had happened was,’ they’re about to spin you,” Charlamagne Tha God laughed. “Ice Spice wasn’t her real friend,” DJ Envy added.
